Why We Exist

Our Church is dedicated to glorifying God by encouraging our members to genuinely love Him and others. We strive to foster continuous growth in Christ-likeness, encourage joyful service to God and others, and commit to faithfully spreading the message of discipleship both within our community and around the world.”

What We Believe

The Scriptures

We believe that the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments are given by inspiration of God. Therefore, they are without error in the original manuscripts. They are infallible and inerrant in all matters of which they speak; and that they constitute God’s complete revelation and are the sole authority for faith and practice.

The Godhead

We believe that there is one God existing in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, one in essence and co-eternal/co-equal in every Divine attribute.

God, the Father

We believe that God, the father, is spirit and a person. He is eternal. All things were created by Him and for His pleasure and glory.

God, the Son

We believe that Jesus Christ is God, the Son. He is eternal. In the manifold wisdom of God, He took on flesh being conceived of the Holy Spirit and was born of a virgin. He lived a sinless life, died a substitutionary death, arose bodily from the grave, ascended to heaven, now intercedes for believers, and will come again in a pre-tribulation, pre-millennial appearing.

God, the Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person in the Godhead and He is eternal. He restrains evil, convicts of sin, bears witness to the truth of the Gospel in preaching and testimony, He applies the redemption accomplished by Christ resulting in the new birth, sealing the believer for all eternity. He indwells the believer, baptizing them into the Body of Christ, and gifts them for spiritual service. We further believe that the gift of tongues and the special gifts of healing and sign miracles were temporary and not for this age, although God may heal the sick and afflicted in accord with His own will.

Of Creation

We believe in the Genesis account of creation to be true and is to be understood that the six days of creation refer to six literal 24 hour periods of time.

The Doctrine of Man

We believe that Adam was created in innocence and by a voluntary transgression fell; that when Adam fell, mankind fell; that man is born with a sinful nature and is spiritually dead, and unable to effect his own salvation.

Of Salvation

We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in the finished work of Christ, by which work Christ fully satisfied the just demands of a holy and righteous God; and that believers are kept by the power of God and that the mark of genuine salvation is the perseverance to the end. We further believe that in salvation there is no conflict between God’s sovereignty and man’s free will. We further believe that, rightly understood, both faith and repentance are necessary for salvation. Faith is evidenced by repentance and repentance is evidence of saving faith.

Of Sanctification

We believe that at salvation the believer becomes positionally righteous before God. Sanctification is also a work of the Holy Spirit to conform the believer to Christ-likeness. Sanctification becomes complete at the moment of death when the believer puts of the corruptible flesh and put on the incorruptible new body.

The Church

We believe the church Is both universal and local. The universal church is as the spiritual body of which Christ is the Head; and of which all regenerate people since Pentecost are a part. The Church is peculiar to the age of grace and is distinct from Israel. The local church is a group of regenerate believers, immersed on profession of faith and associated for worship, fellowship, edification, and service; that local churches have the absolute right to self-government free from interference of any hierarchy; that every believer should align himself with a local church and give total cooperation to its ministries. We believe that the Great Commission is a divine commandment to the local church calling for evangelism and church planting both at home and abroad.

The Ordinances

We believe that there are two ordinances for the local church: baptism and the Lord’s Supper; that baptism is by immersion of the believer and is a prerequisite to the privileges of church membership. The Lord’s Supper is a commemoration of the Lord’s death until He comes again and should be preceded always by a solemn self-examination. These ordinances are reserved for and to be carried out under the authority of the local church.

Of Last Things

We believe in the pre-tribulation, pre-millennial return of Christ in the rapture for His church. After the rapture of the Church there will be seven years of tribulation on earth which is followed by the personal, visible, return of Christ to put down His enemies and set up a thousand-year millennial reign. At the end of that reign Satan will be loosed for a season and then cast into the lake of fire; that at this time the second resurrection for all unsaved will take place; that they will be judged at the Great White Throne and will be condemned to eternal torment in the lake of fire. Judgment completed, Christ will reign forever as King of Kings and Lord of Lords with the righteous eternally.

Of Marriage & Human Sexuality

From creation we see that God created only two genders, male and female. God condemns any attempt to alter one’s gender by surgery, drugs, or appearance. From creation God intends marriage to be between one biological man and one biological women until the death of one of the parties. God intends that sexual activity is the exclusive realm of such a marriage. Any sexual activity outside of Biblical marriage is sinful. Certain practices such as pornography are forbidden, even inside of marriage
